FS: Horrible looking K&N CAI

I'm not even about to try and hide it, but the K&N CAI I have for sale looks horrible, but that doesn't affect the way it performs. The filter is horrible and needs a real good cleaning or to be replaced. Before I bought it it was painted white, like a car paint white and the paint is thick. I just scuffed the surface a bit and painted it a flat black. Then I got impatient and got my handprint on top of it. I cut off the AIR tube untill its about a 1/2" left and stuffed it w/ an expoxy to fill the hole since i took off my AIR pump. It has a 3-4" coupler thats not factory for the K&N on it, and it has no mounting plate. I will let this go easily for $50 OBO + shipping cost. Pics upon request since I don't have any at the moment. Comes w/ all necessary clamps, but it just looks horrible. It definatly can be brought back to life for somebody who wants to spend the time. I never did. Thanks for looking!

:lol: :lol: Its not really as bad as it sounds. Its going to need a good sanding job to either fix what I painted or to sand down the white paint underneath the black. And the filter isn't in to great of shape so it either needs to be cleaned thoroughly or replaced.

ask and ye shall recieve. It doesn't have any overspray on it now though. Woops..forgot to mention the filter does when it got painted. I havn't even looked at it since then that well. I'd recommend a new filter..they're what.. 35-40 bucks new?

Those are just general pics of the engine bay that the CAI snuck in on. Just something to give people the general idea. The CAI is about 250 feet away in my garage and i'm settled away in bed. Pics of the complete setup come tomorrow night.

The first pic just shows the general concept of "if you knick it, you will knock the black paint off and the white will show through" and the second pic shows my hand print.

Man everytime I looked at the engine I never even noticed it was a K&N air filter lol I guess thats how much I pay attention
