For a full chassis dyno (6 pulls), complete printouts and a FULL tune including fuel mapping/timing advance, etc, SLP was $895......and this was back in 2003. For a modest 12-13 hp gain, it wasn't worth it IHMO.
Of course this was when they first opened the Dyno. Heck, I don't even think I can get a wide-band tune for less than $400 locally. Needless to say, w/o serious mods I cannot justify another Dyno.
Can't remember, but wasn't there a Vette shop in mid/lower NJ? I know Sal Zaino took his Z06 to SLP, as SOMETIMES they are looking for volunteers when they are doing some special experimental stuff.
Personally after spending 8-10K in engine mods I find 550 to be just another pebble in the boot for me to get my drank on
Why spend all that money if your not going to spend a little more to make it all go together right. I find it very reasonable.

I suppose you guys are right, but man this stuff adds up fast. I think I wil get the mail order tune from PCMforless and see how that runs everything and then save up, again, and hit up SLP or something similar. Although I really despise them.

No doubt SLP is HIGH, but their labor rate (at the time) was very reasonable for the area and they'll treat you right. Yes, it does add up, hence the reason for bagging my H/C package for now. I've already had (2) sets of headers replaced @ NO CHARGE, except my vacation time and mileage expenses which was enough.
I can understand your position.
One step at a time!:dontknow:
Good luck!

Well I have till May to continue saving, so I shall persevere. SLP or not. Some way some how.
Thats what I did, got a mail order tune programmed in the GT Tuner by Trifecta from PCMforless and am getting ready to dyno tune the car now. She's running way to rich and she could use more timing and the drivabilty is kinda off with the setup i'm running.

My programmer said wide-band first, then to fine-tune get a Dyno for A/F adjustments.
Of course, I just went and jumped in feet first......like a Dumbazz!
Live and learn! Best advice I can offer is DO NOT get impulsive, and do alot of research first! UNLIKE ME! If I knew then what I know now, things would have been done differently.
