abs inop???

my abs inop light is on. I just had to change the brake light switch on the bottom of the brake pedel. soon after that the light has come on. Anyone know why? I checked my switch on the bottom of the brake pedel it is pluged in there. Not sure what else would make it light up.

Check/replace the relay under the hood.

Did you unhook the battery while you were working on it? Should always do so when working with electronic parts on the car...

Pull the ABS fuse under the hood and then put it back in. That resets the system. Also check to make sure your center brake light is OK as it has been known to cause the Abs light to come on.

Lastly, if none of the above works, you'll have to get the ABS computer scanned. Mine went bad.

Sometimes it will shut off after a few miles.

If that doesn't work, check the ABS plug above the rear end.
