Got a 94 impala 178,000 miles new trans recent tune up exhaust done. I'm 18 and i've saved up about 2700 bucks. Need some advice on what to do performance wise.

I would say: (and I assume all the free/cheap mods are done, along with a new intake tract)
1 intake
2 valve springs
3 1.6 roller rockers
4 pcm for less
5 Headers
6 3000 stall converter from EDGE
7 4.10/3.73's with an eaton posi
With the cash you have now, I would actually start from the back. Put the 3.73's/4.10's and an eaton posi in. the stock posi is JUNK. and the 3.73's wil make it feel 1000 lbs lighter. then go with a 9.5" EDGE converter. it will slam to 3000 rpm and just take of like a rocket. they drive better than many claim them too. At this point, you have spent $1,500. Then I would suggest yoy add some new performance valvesprings, and 1.6 roller rockers. Your at about $2,100. then add a st of 49100 flowtech headers($350),and you are at $2,400. that leaves just enough for a PCM tune($200).

I have to agree. Other than the basic air intake and cat-back exhaust, I started at the back with 3.73s, then a converter when my tranny needed a rebuild, then 4.10s and an Eaton LSD when my stock posi blew up at about 100k miles, then driveshaft, headers, and then I started getting deeper under the hood...

I started at the worng end, and I know it.
My Fleetwood:
Intake - home built cone filter and PVC pipe
Exhaust - Muffler Delete
Exhaust - "215" Catback
Valvesprings - performance beehives
and theing I had that never made it on, 3.73's, eaton posi, and CIA budget headers.
My Roadmaster:
Intake - Home Built Swiss cheese box and PVC pipe
Exhaust - Muffler Delete
Valvesprings - stolen off the fleetwood
Headers - CIA tri'ys, and cat delete pipes
PCMtune - A friend did some minor stuff for me
Rockers - comp cams 1.6 roller rockers
Next on my list is:
4.10's and eaton posi
3000 stall 9.5" edge converter + trans go shift kit
pypes X pipe, hooker aero chamber mufflers, and dynomax over the axle pipes
52mm throttle body
F-body MAF
PCMtune by a pro
with the stock 2.56 gears, the roady is a bit of a slacker off the line. It can still smoke it's right rear at a stoplight, but it takes a bit to wake up. Once you hit about 30mph tho, it's a real animal.
Then after that, I'm going with an Advanced induction heads and cam package.
on my 96 caprice, when I got it, it had the following:
K&N FIRK intake
Flowtech headers
Hooker catback, no cats
crane valve springs & comp 1.6 rockers
gmpp 845 cam
F-body MAF
PCMforLEss PCM tuning
trans-go shift kit
When I got it, with the stock converter, and 3.08's, it would spark the tires, but only for about 2 seconds. once you hit about 30mph, it starts pulling extremely hard until the 5800 rpm shift. Once I put the 4.10's in, it seamed much lighter, but would just break the tires loose, and still took a bit to get going. I have a 3200 stall ready to go in with the rebuit trans.
I rode in a buddy's car with 3.73's and a 3000 edge, and full bolt ons, and that car is amazing... Slap the pedal and you find yourself getting intimate with the seat back! that car really moves.
I also recently rode in a Roadmaster with 4.10's, a 2400 stall, built trans with a shift kit, mufflers, PVC intake, hypertech programmed, and it felt alot faster than my Roadmaster. Mine would likely take it past the 1/4 mile mark, but his was just an animal off the line.
point being, I really should have started with intake, exhaust, gears, converter, then gone to the rest.
