Hey, I did Some Playing around this weekend with My trans am and I have noticed something that I had forgot to Mention a long time ago... This had happened since I Bought the car in 2005.. When I hiit a Bump, the Doors Rattle!... I have t tops and I noticed that there are Little tabs in the Door...One Is Located On the Door and the other Is located On the Body... The Driver door doesnt have any ( because I bought it off a non t top car) But has the hole spots so I am Just going to Drill and Place it in.. and the passenger side They Didnt Touch... So I took some gasket Meterial and I built Up each side till they touched..However, the door is alittle hard to open now lol... Am I doing something Wrong??.. The Doors are Hung properly, But its been doing it Since I got it...what Could it Be??? its annoying when I Drive Because i am afraid something will fall out while Driving...BTW I stuck a Towel Inbetween the door once and Drove it and it was Ok for a bit....bad weather Seals?

sounds like when u used the gasket material to build the doors up u might have used a little to much.? and as far as your doors leaking if you dont have the black weather striping around ur doors that would be why it leaks and if u do have them they might be bad or since they aren't the original doors u might want to c if you can find a thicker weather striping. do you know ne thing about timing? and distributors.?

Probably need a door hinge repair kit from Top-down solutions.

I would recommend to get this: http://www.top-downsolutions.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=33.

Along with the door hinge removal tool and the tool to adjust the height of the door. Yeah, its a little pricey but worth it.

I did replaced the hinges on my project car and the doors shut so easily. Now I need to do this on my daily driver 92.

you might just need new weather stripping, if its all flattened out the door wont seal right and would cause a rattle cause it isn't closing tight
