I'm ready for some headers on my SS Impala. I'm not sure what kind to get. So, what kind of heders are you all running and how you like 'em?

I'm running Clearimageautomotive Budget headers. Good price, great fit, and excellent performance.

95 roadmaster: Clear Image Automotive Tri-Y's(best for up to 5500 rpm, big boost at 3500 rpm, vs other clear image headers). Quads will make more power from 5500-8000. so I have been told.
96 9C1: Flowtech afterburner 49100's. For what they cost, they are a great header. But they ARE a cheap header, with some minor fitment issues.
I tried to put the CIA Budget headers on my roadmaster, but it wasn't having it. hit the frame on the pass side, same spot the flowtechs hit. but these looked worse. But the flowtechs were on the car when i got it. They also hit the steering shaft. CIA told me the roadmaster has the worst fit, and that he didn't know it was so tight on them. he now doesn't suggest using them for the roady. I bought them for my fleetwood, then totaled it. Dan gave me full credit back on the headers, over a year later!! He might have even given me more than I paid for them, and shipping I paid. Great place to deal with.
the tri-ys hop in there like they were factory bits. I will admit I was not sold on them, they were too much for me. But after the flowtech horror story's(flanges that just won't seal), and the budget header issues, I caved, and am glad I did. Knowing what I do now, of how to make them fit better, and the better rep of the flowtechs, I will consider them for future needs, if I need a set for my 2ndary car. I also would not over look the budget headers if they were not for a roadmaster.
Can't say much on the other options. :)

Afterburners. I had hell getting them installed though. Had to grind on the frame, changed out my engine mount (the factory one was worn out), and now I have trouble with getting to the spark plugs on the driver's side. Oh yeah, the O2 bungs that were installed before I got the headers fell out and I had to get them rewelded in. They require new hookup pipes.
But like Matt said, they were cheap and they work better than the factory manifolds.
If I had the money, I would have gone with the Clear Image Tri-Ys or the bigger Quad-1s.
I will have to custom build the next set of headers that go on my SS, but that's a LONG way away.

Arizona Speed and Marine headers. They were already on the car when I bought it. I hear they're good but no longer made.

On my ride great fit and unfortunately they are not around any more. If you find a set buy them.

Matt? I don't think you will hear about Matt Hoffman endorsing Afterburners. His S/N is Buffman.
I'm Cory, the other Roadmaster nut that lives 30 minutes from him. :D
His car is the reason I own a Roady.

A rusty pair of coated CAI Quad 1's with 1.75" primaries on the bolt on 96 Impala.
I'm planning to make my own some day. The plan is to make tuned length race headers in 2 1/8" primaries and then let customers pick their primary size from 1 5/8" up to 2 1/8". They won't be coated, but you can send them out for coating.
A pair of 70's Hooker Comp headers in 2" primaries on the 96 Impala with the BBC. Had to clearance more than I'd like for a street car.

I actually just made a "FAQ", with all the currently produced headers. It's on ISSF. If it was up, I'd put the link here.
