What kind of symptoms would this cause?

What would cause a bent axle? Torque could be a culprit. Have you hit any large potholes?

I think hes asking how to tell if you bent one. Well experience shown me when you bend one back wheel(s) wobble. A heavy vibration.

Vibration in the rear of the car, bearings will go bad quickly, might even feel the car wobble in the back at slow speeds. Bent an axle in my truck a few years ago, happened in a wreck. I didn't know it was bent and it broke teeth off the ring and pinion about a week after I got it back from the body shop.

um as bad as this sounds. Do a burnout and look at the marks and see if one of them is uneven.
