How's that going to work? Wonder how much HP those collapsable lifters will take?

How's the DOD program going to react to a big cam?

I've pondered that too. Who's gonna be the first to try it?

i bet you would have some tuning problems that you run into.

I feel pretty sure that a cam would really FUBAR things up in one of those. At highway cruise you'd have a 4 cyl running on a monster cam...which would probably not run very well.

could you disable the dod if you did a h/c swap?

i wonder if you would have to have a special cam made in order to have vehicle run right with dod.

I'm sure its easy to disable. All you have to do is kill the solenoids that cut oil to the special lifter bodies. That might throw a code but I'm guessing you could program it all out too.

I have no doubt there will be DOD retrofit kits to let you put normal lifters, etc. into those motors.

i thought all GM V8s after 02 have DOD, so i always thought the 03+ vettes, 04+ GTOs had it
