As I was posting a reply on my other thread about the glowing exhaust manifolds i forgot to mention...




My Buddy has a totalled 97 Regal Gs with the 3800 Supercharger.. When the mechanic told me about My engine I immediately called him and he put the entire car off to the side.. My question is.. I know I can put the engine in my car... But If I swap out computers is it " plug and Play" or do I have to use the Harness from the regal??

Also, I have the digital information center in my car, I see that there is a LED for boost in there, will that illuminate with if I do that type of install?

Oh and One more thing ( sorry Guys ) My buddy told me that My 2001 block has a better Compression for the supercharger then the 1997 3800 II V6, and it would be best to use My block for the superchager and ill have to use the 1997 Heads Because the Fuel injectors go in a different place and i can only use the 1997 Heads ( i know that the fuel rails are different) But is that true about the Heads???..

You'd have to swap the harnesses over as well. You could just do a top end swap and a lil tuning.....

like gtp said earier to do a top end swap and tune it but also think our great states inspection laws will get ya on a major tune when ya get plugged in so think about it

thats true about Inspection, that would only apply if one had there car registered in a state or county that required emissions testing... I am a legal resident of wayne county Pennsylvania, So are my two Cars, and we only have a safety inspection for wayne :thumbsup:

Oh welllllll..lol..Glad she always passes...Where In Ny are you? I am On long island in Nassau County...I have to Bring My Firebird Back ton Pa soon, inspection is about due
