i plan on doing a few mods to the car, it is a 97 T/A WS6, i plan on installing 52 mm throttle body, 1.6rr, long tube headers, and exhaust.

will a hypertech power programmer be worth buying?
wanting to be over 300 HP to the wheels!!

I'm afrid your going to be shy of 300 rwhp. Your going to need some sort of CAI and maybe a tune in order to get 300 rwhp.

the hyperjunk will probably take some of your power AWAY. those things are pieces! im not sure how much power you will get out of a 52mm... yea a cold air intake and a tune will be good.

the throttle body probably wont really do anything. the longtubes shoudl give you 20hp across the board. depending on if you plan on running cats or not the rest of the exaust you can get anywere form 5 to 30 hp. the 1.6 rockers should give you a little but not much. with a auto your problay going to be around 250-280 at the tires

I dont know most people hate the hypertech and you would be better off going with something like a tune from Vince at Trifecta -------------------->(sponsor) but Grims put down 298.7 (or something like that) in his SS with the same mods minus 1.6s and he said the AFR actually looked pretty good with the hypertech.

But really who cares what it dynos, all that matters is what it MPHs. Ive seen 467whp cars run 9s and Ive seen simialarly whpowered cars run 11s.

wife has had the car sense new, and now it's time for some upgrades, i have the new clutch to put in it, but was going to wait till first part of the year so i can buy all the other goodies. later i plan on a rebuild, motor has 133,000 miles, and was going to get the LE2 package from Elliotes performance.

BlownWs6, how do you like the Pacesetter Long Tubes? thats the headers and y-pipe i am wanting to get.

I like them a lot. They are actually very good, not rusting Ive had them for probably 8 months. Havent had a problem with them. Sound pretty good as well.

i was also thinking about getting the HOOKER exhaust, or magnaflow

would the car also benefit from lower control arms and traction bars?
