I see some familiar names already

I have an 00 Z28 with a few things done to it. As far as go-fast stuff I am rocking an mti lid, ls6 intake, pacesetter LT's, ORY, magnaflow, weld-in SFCs, and a spec stage 2 that I just put in yesterday.

A recent dyno...the before is with a lid/catback, the after is with the LS6 intake, headers & tune. The first run I made with the headers/intake was 335 hp & 342 tq, I gained 15hp & 13 ft/lbs tq from spending a little time tuning it.

Before I retuned the car and added the stage 2 clutch, I went 8.4 @ 85.5 on a 1.9' 60 in the 1/8th mile. Hoping to lose another tenth or two with this new clutch, my other one slipped pretty bad. I also added the new 01-02 master & slave which hopefully will permit me to shift into 2nd gear again :cancan:

Aside from performance stuff I do little things here and there. I made a rear seat delete kit for it, added leather trans am seats that I embroidered with 'z28', reupholstered my door panels, switched all interior bulbs to blue LEDs, etc.

I actually made it myself :)

It weighs around 8 lbs or so. I made it out of half inch thick plywood, covered it with some automotive carpet, and then dyed the carpet to match.

That's really nicely done. How did you secure it to the car?? I'm just looking for ideas because I've had the back seats/belts out of my turd for 4 years now.

Actually as of right now nothing is holding it in...strangely enough it doesn't move around any though. I think the shape keeps it held in place.

Interesting........I was looking that the pics of it and thought that would be an outstanding place to hide a couple of amps, or a fire bottle or whatever, if you simply cut/installed a hatch in the top with a lock.

If you don't mind, how did you take the measurements for it, and is there a back/bottom or is it just the front/top??

It's just a front and top. A bottom would be near impossible given the design of the seats. The easiest way to measure is by getting a large piece of insulation foam from lowes...cut it to roughly the size, and then sit in the car with a razor blade and shave bits of it off until it fits perfect. From there you can trace it onto the wood.

Good idea! I'll look into that. Thanks!

Very nice looking car you got there! Also nice job on the rear seat delete kit, I think I might finally make one this winter.
