We have a custom mobile skin now available so you can browse the site on your phone, iPOD, PDA, etc.

From your mobile device, simply go to ls1lt1.com and the site automatically detects your device and sends you to the special mobile style.

UPDATE:

We've not been able to get the auto skin assignment to work on all mobile device types.

So, I've set up two new subdomains. Just bookmark one of these to always get the correct skin on your devide:

http://mobile.ls1lt1.com (http://mobile.ls1lt1.com/)
http://iphone.ls1lt1.com (http://iphone.ls1lt1.com/)

The Iphone skin is basically the same as the default one, but stripped down. It takes better advantage of the iPhone's full HTML browser and wi-fi capability.

The mobile style won't display on an iPhone, at least not right now. Since you can browse normal pages with an iPhone I didn't include it.

But its easy to change, so if iPhone geeks demand the mobile style, I can accomodate.

You can browse normal pages with my phone (It's a full windows mobile 6 PDA with a phone) But the browser lets pages know it's a phone in case the site has a mobile version...so it may work on the iphone.

That's not what I'm saying.

The mod that auto-detects a phone and sends you to the mobile style isn't set to include iPhones. I didn't include it because I figured with the full featured browser that iPhone users would rather use the normal style.

However, if iPhone users say they want the mobile style, I can modify the hack to redirect iPhones to the mobile style as well.

Try it now...should work. If you can't log in still, make sure you have java support enabled.

Right, WM6 phones like mine have a full featured browser as well. The problem is the site is coded to run at a desktop resolution, so when you shrink it down to a mobile device's size everything gets jumbled and squished. Also, the iphone has a relatively slow CPU and memory, which causes a lot of lag when browsing a website like this forum. My phone has twice the CPU and twice as fast memory as an iPhone...and it lagged pretty bad when loading this site before the mod.

But maybe the iPhone has better optimizations for web browsing :dontknow:

Don't go to either of those in your computer browser or it will lock in, trust me :(

After doing some reading on your phone it looks like the factory browser if very limited. But, Opera mini is available for free on your phone and can be downloaded here http://www.operamini.com/

It is a very popular browser for handhelds.

It's a Katana 1, and I'll try downloading Opera later and let ya know if it works, Thanks for your help.

I'm working on this right now, so if it doesn't work for you then please be patient.

I found out the new subdomains were only working if you were ALREADY logged into the forums. Its a bit more complicated to set the skin w/o a user login already active...but I think I know how to do it.

I'll post back and update ya'll later, but once I have it done right going to mobile.ls1lt1.com will work on any device, any browser, including your desktop.

Ok, I have Samsung A737, carrier AT&T... the regular LS1LT1.com site loads, but it's not a miniskin, it's just like it looks actually online and its a SUPER long webpage... hard to get to the bottom of.... and all smushed...

I tried the mobile.ls1lt1.com one, and it just sits there forever trying to load then just gives me a blank page...:dontknow:

It looks like the normal site but it's really small, than I zoom into whatever I want to click on.
