I' m building my first motor, it is a 1965 327 smallblock out of a 1965 ss impala. It has the factory forged crank, factory rods, a factory block bored 30 over, keith black hypereutectic pistons, comp cams l79 cam, flat lifters, comp cams high energy push rods, world sportsman II heads with 2.02 intake 1.6 exhaust, elgin solid nitroplated lifters, edelbrock victor jr. intake with a 1" flange, and a 650 carb with a 7 qt. oil pump milodon pick up, and high volume oil pump.
What kind of power do you think that will make and is it a good idea to use a powerglide that came in that impala with that motorfor everyday driving or should i use something else........

depends on compression ratio, cam timing, ignition. as for using the glide i would use a more street friendly tranny maybe even a overdrive tranny depending on gear choice

the compression ration is 10.75:1
the timing isn't set yet put am going to put it around 32
and the ignition is going to be a full msd sb kit from jegs with the 6al box
