OK I have a LT1 in my 83 CJ7 and all I know about the lt1 is that there's a smog tag from cal that says LT1 91 camaro. So with that little bit I ve tried to get the heater core hooked up but everything I ve done has not given me hot air . My set up big hose from rad to T-stat housing, big hose off the water pump to the bottom rad then a small line off the top of the pump that goes into the throttle body then comes out the side of the throttle body to the top of rad.
I have tried hose from side of T-body to core then return to top of rad not a thing then spliced into the the hose from top of water pump to core back into the bottom of the T-body? I even went from the pump to core to rad nothing I don't have any fluid moving
Well in my moving hoes around I unhooked a hose while the engine was running and to temp and had nothing coming out so I thought Id check to see how much fluid was in the rad and well that was under pressure and had plenty in there.

Look at the exploded parts diagrams here

Maybe they will give you a clue as to how to route things.

Make sure you have the right t-stat in there. I had a SBC 160* in mine and had no heat. When i built my engine i bought the LT1 106* t-stat and finally I had heat.

I know this is no help to you, but are you sure it says LT1 91 camaro?

No 1991 vehicles had an LT1. The '91 Camaro's had the L98 engine. The LT1 debuted in the 1992 Corvette, the f-body's got it in 1993.

It would simplify matters if you would remove the thermostat while in the process of troubleshooting the lack of coolant flow in your system.
Are you sure your water pump is working?
