This race took place about 3years ago. I was out and about on a weekend night. A buddy of mine who owned a 1996 WS6 A4 pulls me over talking about this guy riding around in a 2000 ls1 z28 talk mad crap. My buddy starts telling me that he raced him from a dead stop and lost by 2 1/2 cars. My luck couldnt get any better if they guy didnt pull into the parking lot talking crap about how "slow" any LT1 is. The race was on!!
He wanted to race from a roll to give what he called a " give your LT1 a slim chance of thinking abou holding a bolt on LS1" I am a little guilty by not mentioning that i am a hot cam, ported head/intake car.
We did a "3 honk" at 30mph and i drug his ass about 3 plus cars through the top part of 3rd. He wants to run again!!!
This time we do a " 3 honk" at about 10mph and it gets worse for him. I drug him about 5 plus cars this time. Now he wants a dead stop!
The final race went down like this...... He jumped me out of the hole about 2 cars and i came around his ass in 4th at around 90mph.... I try to stop and talk to him after the last race, and this sore loser keeps driving with a pissed look on his face........ Just another day at work for the underdog...:coffee:
