Hey guys,
From my previous threads I have been having problems with my 90' ta 5.0L....We discovered that it has a weak spark, and that the pick up coil is no good... I replaced the pick up coil. Put the distributor back in, and now she will not start?????? What gives??.. I also re alighned the engine marks to a TDC and the distributor is Not pointing to Either 6 or 1 TDC?? What did I do Wrong?

The distributor shaft rotates as you pull it out or put it back in. You are probably a tooth or two off.
The oil pump shaft also rotates as you pull the distributor out. But, it only fits when exactly aligned with the tab on the end of the distributor shaft. It isn't uncommon for the oil pump shaft to hold up the distributor when you put it back in, making you think the distributor isn't in the right place. All you need to do is get the rotor pointing where you want it relative to the distributor cap for a given firing position, and even if the oil pump shaft doesn't exactly line up so the distributor drops all the way down, leave it there and rotate the engine until the oil pump shaft and distributor shaft line up and the distributor drops all the way down where it should.

You are setting the timing with the EST wire disconnected, correct?
