damn lock cyl fell out of my T-top

has this every happened to any1? i looked on my passangers seat one day and ill be damned if the damn cylinder wasnt sitting in that seat laughin its ass off. i stuck it back in the T top and it doesnt want to stay in there, i locked and unlocked and twisted thinking there might be some trick to it :mad: no worky


has this happened to anyone before?

and how the hell do i fix it

never happend to me. of course my car is only 3 yrs old.

theres a little clip that holds them in that had popped off....just pull the retainer that holds the handle on and remove the big plastic peice off and pop the clip back on, simple:D

That happened on my '99 Bird, but only cuz someone muscled the lock & broke it. I don't bother locking my tops anymore... :rolleyes:

Guess it all goes back to the "quality" interior of our automobiles. :cool:
