The main guys here are gonna need alot more info to give you any sort of response on that one.
Whats your setup? Lol, we can only guess you've got at 94z28.
And im willing to bet your name is Rob. However that doesn't really help you with your timing issue.
I can let you know that generally you want to retard your timing if you are running a boosted setup, and im pretty sure unless you have the MSD opti, timing isn't really adjustable on these guys. But for most applications you can just run a BTM to retard it a few degrees and thats more than enough.
But like i said those are just generalities and we need to know many more specific details to give you a good answer.

lol Actually my name is Cooter. yeehaaw
I'm just kind of looking for an avg of what s/c or turbo guys get for advance without a bunch of KR. I got a mail order tune when I first got my car because I had issues with the wiring and couldn't read the pcm config. I got that sorted out and now I'm trying to dial in the config more. I don't have a wideband yet, but the O2 voltage looks plenty rich (upper .9volt range). The extended spark advance table is setup for 27* in the 95 and 100 MAP cells and I get about 5-6* of KR at WOT. I also get KR at partial throttle with slight load so I have a feeling some is phantom knock, but I should know more once I try some 100+ octane unleaded race fuel.
Earlier on when I got the car it was running real rich and I was having problems fouling plugs, so I have some NGK TR5's in it now. I'd feel a lot better with some TR6's and that is my plan to go back to those once I finish my idle/driveability tuning. I had the mail order tuner send me the original pcm config from when I got the car and the spark advance was setup for 23 at WOT originally. So I have a few things to try at this point, but I'd like to hear what kind of range would be typical on 7-8 pounds of boost. Thanks guys!

I wish I could get 18* out of mine! Above 4000 rpm I can run that much timing sometimes but below that I can't even run 5*. I'm also running a non intercooled roots blower too. Putting the meth/water injection on tomorrow so hopefully that will give me back some of my timing.

Don't really know the times, 7.54 w/ 1.7 sixty, spun all through first and into second, had to baby it out of the hole cuz the damn track i went to sucks. Just ask CKJ.
I don't know what the tuner set my timing at, it might be that low, but when i was doing my own tuning thats where i had it.
