Default location for my shiftlight on my 98 camaro z28

Just bought a raptor shiftlight for my 98 camaro z28. Did some research and i like the idea of mounting it in the vents. I believe i can mount it on the drivers side pillar vent ? If soo can it still operate the defrost with it in their ?

go ahead and put it there, lots of people do

that pillar vent barely does anything for defrosting anyway
