is your convertible hydraulic system leaking, check here

Just wanted to pass along a small nugget of knowledge.

Is your convertible top system leaking fluid? Ive now seen this on two cars and its the only time ive seen these systems leak. Im sure it happens in other places but check here first.. both cars that ive had leaks in this system have come from the brass "t" coming off the side of the convertible top pump on the fender side.. Both cars developed a hairline crack on the bottom of this T.. ive been able to find new "t"s that are slighly shorter than stock but work fine at a forklift supply store for $4 or less. i wasnt able to find an exact replacement anywhere without spending a few hundred on an entire new pump. hope this helps someone at some point.
